About Our Guest Speaker
Andrea Scott is the esteemed Director of Talent Acquisition for Harris County, the third-largest county in the nation. In this pivotal role, she crafts innovative strategies and leads a dynamic team dedicated to sourcing, screening, and recruiting diverse talent across Harris County Departments. Since joining Harris County in 2005 as a Payroll & Benefits Clerk, Andrea has steadily risen through the ranks, consistently embracing roles of increasing responsibility over her remarkable 19-year tenure.
A proud native of Houston, Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Houston-Central and an MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio. Her professional excellence is further underscored by her Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and her Senior Certified Professional (SCP) designation from the Society of Human Resources Management.
